Biztonsagosinternet.hu has launched its Annual Report, which highlights the hotline’s efforts to protect children and young people against all forms of violence, especially CSAM, and other emerging trends. The hotline report expresses Biztonsagosinternet.hu’s commitment to create a safer digital environment in which children’s fundamental rights are respected.
In 2023, there was a strong focus on awareness-raising activity: our long-term priority was to raise awareness about the latest trends and phenomena. To this end, we take part in conferences and forums organized by LEA.
We also created a printed booklet version of last year's hotline activity, which we can disseminate with the help of LEA in Hungary. The Police propagate the material to parents and teachers as part of their own awareness-raising activities.
To ensure that harmful content is available for the shortest possible time, our hotline works with various online platforms. In our experience, these platforms are conscientious about removing harmful, illegal content as quickly as possible.
Highlight of the year 2023 is that our hotline has joined the trusted partner programme of several platforms (e.g. Google, Discord, TikTok). Our experience shows that this is often the most effective way to remove illegal content.
